Executive Director 

Jennifer joined CANY as Executive Director in 2018. She previously held positions at the New York City Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, the San Francisco Adult Probation Department, and the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office. Jennifer started her career as Program Director at Prison University Project (now Mount Tampalpais College) running the day-to-day operations of a college program at San Quentin State Prison in California. Jennifer holds a BA from the College of William and Mary, an MA from Hollins University, and an MFA from Indiana University Bloomington. She has taught creative writing workshops in prisons, jails, juvenile detention facilities, and community arts studios.
