Executive Director 

Jennifer has served as CANY’s Executive Director since 2018. Previously, Jennifer worked at the NYC Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, the San Francisco Adult Probation Department, and the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office. She began her career as Program Director at the Prison University Project (now Mount Tamalpais College) where she was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the college program at San Quentin State Prison in California. Jennifer has taught writing in prison, jail, juvenile detention, community, and campus settings. She has a BA from the College of William and Mary, an MA from Hollins University, and an MFA from Indiana University Bloomington.
